Project to process West Texas Light crudein southeast Mexico hinted during morning press conference.
As Mexico has been welcoming private investment to boost the country’s energy security, the Mexican President “AMLO” teased a progress update by announcing that a private company will be importing US light crude and refining it domestically. He did not reveal the name of the company except revealing that the project will enable the country to easily process light crude domestically, and efforts to rehabilitate six Pemex refineries to end the importation of fuel oils.
